Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises seeks an experienced Solar/Electrical Technician to support Minnesota solar installations. Role emphasizes safe, efficient electrical construction, mentoring apprentices, and delivering quality workmanship on fast-moving projects.

You will collaborate with foremen and project managers, interpret drawings and BOMs, and ensure compliance with codes while maintaining thorough field records and strong team communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in solar or electrical construction.
• Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic systems and DC/AC configurations.
• Ability to travel extensively to regional states with overnight stays.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install photovoltaic (solar) electrical systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and best practices on the job.
• Complete material takeoffs and support tool/equipment procurement.
• Mentor and support apprentices and crew members in the field.
• Conduct or assist in AC and DC terminations and wire management.
• Interpret construction documents, wire schedules, and BOMs.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records.
• Collaborate with foremen and PMs to meet safety and production goals.
• Communicate effectively with crew, customers, and leadership.
