Qualifications

Salary: $18-$25 Hourly

The PV Installers will support the installation team, communicate job status data to the project foreman, and ensure the completion of solar array/system installations. It is the responsibility of every Installer to maintain safe and high-quality work practices for the NCS installation team.

Job Duties:

  • Set up job site safety measures, such as assembling fall protection guardrails
  • Lay out and assemble solar modules/arrays and mounting hardware
  • Mechanically/structurally mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment
  • Support electrical wiring installation for solar arrays (AC and DC)
  • Maintain a clean job site
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, safety, and installation procedures
  • Conduct site visits to assess solar access and safety issues
  • Assist the team in complying with company and OSHA safety policies
  • Purchase equipment, assist with hardware store runs, load/unload equipment, and answer client questions
  • Perform extended walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, bending, and crawling
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Ascend and descend ladders of various heights
  • Lift heavy equipment, including solar panels weighing up to 75 lbs, and install on rooftops, including pitched roofs

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or metal fabrication
  • Ability to perform physical activities like walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, bending, and crawling
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience and comfort working on roofs
  • Ability to climb ladders of various heights
  • Desire and ability to learn
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S., pass background check and drug test

Preferred Experience:

  • NABCEP Entry Level certification or higher
  • Electrical License
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • At least 5 years installing solar electrical systems
  • Advanced understanding of DC & AC electrical systems
