Jobbeschreibung

Sandbox + is a movement of energy independence professionals relentlessly empowering the world to be self-sufficient. Grounded in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado for over 11 years, this community is our home. We are proudly recognized as one of 2025’s Colorado Companies to Watch alongside top local, state, and national accolades from BizWest , Solar Power World , Denver Business Journal , and the International Electrical Contractors Association.

We owe our success to the grit of our founder, Ian Skor, and our incredible team of "expeditioners." We climb the mountains others won't, in ways others can't. We design, develop, and install premier solar solutions for homes, businesses, and communities, but our culture is defined by innovation, determination, and the real impact we leave on our community.

Why This Solar Installer Role Is Different

• Clear Path for Advancement: We aren't looking for temporary labor. We want experienced solar installers or construction professionals ready to hit the ground running, with a direct pathway and support to grow into management.
• Invested in Your Potential: Have a background in construction and an unmatched work ethic, but light on solar experience? We actively train motivated candidates ready to build a lasting career.
• Industry Stability: Unlike typical solar outfits that cycle through crews, our steady growth means long-term stability, competitive backing, and a team that actually has your back.
• Work That Matters: You won't just be laying panels; you’ll be an integral part of a crew pushing the boundaries of local renewable energy independence.

Our Solar Installers:

• Represent Sandbox Solar with the professionalism and customer service we’re known for;
• Layout and assemble mounting hardware and solar modules, racks and electrical equipment;
• Install and perform routine system maintenance on photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards;
• Wire solar arrays (DC);
• Document completed installations;
• Clean up job sites upon completion of installation; and will
• Drive and maintain company vehicles.

We are looking for customer-focused Installers who:

• Possess a High School diploma; some college preferred;
• Has a valid Colorado Driver’s License and a record that our Insurer will love;
• Has at least 1 year of solar installation experience or related construction or roofing experience;
• Consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to quality; and who
• Can climb ladders, work on heights (typically on pitched roofs), work on his/her feet, use a variety of hand tools, and lift, pull, and push 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day;

This won’t be the right opportunity for those who:

• Just want a job rather than a role in an incredible big picture;
• Are afraid of heights;
• Can’t tolerate working outdoors in all types of Colorado weather…weird as that can be;
• Can’t easily get along with a team of people working on a roof as well as the people living underneath it; or who
• Aren’t able to provide influence and leadership with or without formal chain of command.

Expected salary range - $21-$26 per hour. Benefits include 401(k) matching, Health insurance, Health savings account and Paid time off
