Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks Solar Installers for on-site PV rack assembly and module installation. You will load/unload equipment and solar panels, keep the work site clean, and support material handling on the job.

The role requires basic solar experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions. Overtime and weekend shifts may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some solar experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plans and instructions.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Experience using PV equipment and installation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assembling PV racking and installing PV modules.
• Loading and unloading equipment.
• Loading or unloading Solar panels.
• General cleanup and debris clearing.
• Preparing, handling, and supplying materials.
• May be assigned to PV crews or support crews.
• Performs other duties as required.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

• Assembling PV racking and installing PV modules


• Loading and unloading equipment


• Loading or unloading Solar panels


• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris


• Responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts


• Can be assigned to Photovoltaic (PV) Crews, PV support crews, PV Installer, QAQC


• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area


• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position; Some solar experience required


• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.


• Ability to use tools and equipment such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggy’s


• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills


• Detail oriented


• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. throughout assigned workday

Requirements

• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)


• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions


• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload


• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules
