Job description

Job Summary

The Solar Installer will be responsible for installation and oversight of field electrical work to ensure code compliance and the highest quality work. They will work on residential solar energy systems, installing solar panels, inverters, and associated equipment on rooftops or ground‑mounted systems, ensuring correct installation and optimal performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Install solar panels, inverters, and associated equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on solar systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Evaluate installation sites for structural integrity, shading, and potential obstacles, providing recommendations for optimal solar panel placement.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with solar systems, including performance problems and electrical faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and system performance metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with lead installers, electricians, and other team members to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations to clients and addressing any concerns.

  • Proficiency in electrical wiring, connections, and safety practices specific to solar installations.

Work Authorization

Salary

$43,300.00 - $64,950.00 (base pay only). This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
