Brda Electric in the St. Louis region is seeking a Solar Installation Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. You will work on residential and commercial solar projects across the Greater St.

Louis area, installing panels, racking, inverters, and related equipment while ensuring safety and quality. You will perform site assessments, read plans and drawings, test system performance, and document work.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

As a Solar Installation Technician, you will work on residential and commercial solar energy projects throughout the Greater St. Louis region.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and related equipment.
• Performing site assessments.
• Interpreting plans and drawings.
• Testing and troubleshooting system performance.
• Documenting completed work.
• Working closely with project managers, customers, and fellow team members to ensure every project meets our standards for quality and safety.

You will work on both rooftop and ground-mounted systems while helping deliver clean, reliable energy solutions to our customers.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Proven experience installing residential and commercial solar energy systems.
• Has a strong understanding of solar equipment, mounting systems, and installation best practices.
• Experience in reading plans, schematics, and installation drawings.
• Has knowledge of NEC requirements and local building codes.
• Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Has the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Has professional communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Has OSHA certification and solar industry certification.
• Has a valid driver’s license and resides within the Greater St. Louis area.

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
