Job summary

IGS Energy is seeking a Solar Installation Technician in Solon, OH to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential solar systems while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities include installing PV systems per designs and manufacturer guidelines, collaborating with electricians and foremen, and performing quality checks and documentation.

Requirements include 1–3 years of solar experience, ability to read blueprints, and NABCEP/SolarEdge/Enphase certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of solar installation experience (residential or commercial).
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and components.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install PV systems according to design specifications and guidelines.
• Collaborate with electricians, project managers, and foreman for project execution.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions to ensure performance.
• Document work, materials, and system specifications for each project.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
