Job summary

Solara Home Energy is expanding its Residential Installation team in the United States. The Solar Construction Foreman I will lead crews, ensure safety and quality, and support project execution on new home solar installations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, teamwork, accountability, and customer focus, with growth and advancement opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years leading residential solar or construction crews.
  • Experience as foreman or crew lead preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of new home construction and solar install practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and layouts.
  • OSHA safety requirements and site best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise residential solar crews on new home construction projects.
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, and keep jobs on schedule.
  • Ensure installs meet plans, code, and MARS quality standards.
  • Enforce safety policies and best practices on site.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, builders, and inspectors.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and maintain open communication.

We are Solara Home Energy, and we are growing our Residential Installation team. At MARS Energy, we design, build, and deliver high-quality solar projects for residential new home construction communities across the country.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Solar Construction Foreman I to lead installation crews, maintain safety and quality standards, and support the successful execution of our projects. We are looking for a hands-on leader who values teamwork, accountability, customer service, and craftsmanship.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise residential solar crews on new home construction projects
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, and keep jobs on schedule
  • Ensure installs meet plans, code, and MARS quality standards
  • Enforce safety policies and best practices on site
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, builders, and inspectors
  • Troubleshoot field issues and keep communication flowing
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in residential solar, construction, or related field leadership roles
  • Previous Foreman or Crew Lead experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential new home construction and solar installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and layout drawings
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and jobsite best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Certifications:
  • NABCEP Certification preferred
  • Tesla Powerwall certification or installation experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
  • Understanding of residential solar PV systems and battery storage systems
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot solar systems with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with Tesla, Enphase, and SolarEdge products
  • Ability to identify and resolve field installation issues
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and productivity
  • Ability to lead crews, coordinate work, and keep projects on schedule
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and elevated surfaces
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
