Job summary

Mechatron Trackers is seeking a Technical Project Manager – Solar Field Operations to lead the installation and execution of commercial solar tracker projects. This is a hands-on role with significant field involvement, supervising field crews and contractors, and providing technical direction on-site.

The ideal candidate combines solar project experience, field leadership, and project management skills, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical aspects of solar systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solar project management, construction, installation, or field operations.
• Experience with commercial solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of solar systems.
• Experience supervising field crews, contractors, or installation teams.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and electrical schematics.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Willing to travel and work outdoors at active project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and field execution of solar tracker installations.
• Supervise field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors during installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical direction and troubleshoot on-site mechanical, electrical, and installation issues.
• Review engineering plans, drawings, schematics, and site layouts.
• Conduct site evaluations and support layout and installation planning.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, safety, and installation quality.
• Coordinate with customers, utilities, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to technical standards.
