Job summary

Moss Solar is seeking a Solar Hourly Laborer-Operator to perform field labor on solar projects, including PV installation assistance, site preparation, and general labor tasks. No prior experience is required, and some high school education is preferred.

The role involves operating basic tools, assisting with panel assembly, and possibly operating equipment like PD10, Skid Steer, or Excavator. Expect full-time hours with potential overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Some high school education or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Clearing debris, preparing the area for installation, and potentially laying out equipment.
• Keeping the work site clean and organized.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and potentially experience with basic wiring.
• Operate hand tools including, but not limited to: Tape measure, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders and rakes.
• Assisting with the assembly and installation of solar panels, racking systems, and other components.
• May perform as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer or Quality Control Helper.
• May operate PD10, Skid Steer and/or Excavator.
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to co-workers.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Extended hours of work may occur, with a single shift lasting as long as 12 hours.
• Full-time employment required.
• Overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
