Job summary

New Energy Structures Company in Mount Zion, IL seeks a field-based Electrical Installer with hands-on experience in solar/underground installations. You will install enclosures, conduits, conductors, and terminations while ensuring safety and quality on every project.

Responsibilities include testing per NETA, documenting results, mentoring apprentices, and contributing to QC in Procore. You must hold a current state electrical license, be able to travel, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Valid/current state electrical license; willing to test in other jurisdictions.
• Ability to travel between projects for extended durations.
• Minimum 4 years electrical experience; solar/underground a plus.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
• Willing to work overtime as project needs arise.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install high quality electrical enclosures, conduits, conductors, and terminations.
• Test/Inspect/Document conductors and electrical equipment per NETA and manufacturer standards.
• Actively participate in and drive safety culture on site.
• Mentor and train electrical apprentices on various scopes of electrical work.
• QC documentation, photos, and reporting in Procore as directed by Electrical Foreman.
• Use knowledge to optimize safety, quality, and efficiency of installations.
• Ensure assigned team members perform key tasks under supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.
