Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Laborer Mechanical Installer for a large-scale solar construction project in Cleburne, TX. You will join field crews to install piles, racking, and solar modules outdoors, using power and hand tools to meet daily production goals.

The role requires at least 1 year of construction experience, ability to lift 25+ pounds, and readiness to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with safety and quality in mind.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of construction experience on a site.
• Experience working outdoors in varying weather.
• Experience unloading trucks, staging materials, and tracking inventory on construction sites.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 25 pounds or more.
• At least 1 year of using power and hand tools safely.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Comfort walking on uneven ground and large outdoor sites.
• Basic ability to read tape measures and verify installation accuracy.
• Reliability and readiness to work full shifts outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Work on one of three installation crews: Pile, Racking, or Module Install.
• Assist with unloading trucks and moving piles, racking components, and modules.
• Support pile installation, layout, and driving piles to GPS locations.
• Verify elevations and positions with tape measures.
• Walk across the project site and install piles, racking, and modules.
• Assist with unloading and staging modules and racking materials.
• Read blueprints or follow foreman guidance for installation methods.
• Torque and secure components with power drills and hand tools.
• Conduct spot quality checks to meet standards and specs.
• Support module installation by moving modules to workstations.
• Meet daily production goals in a high-volume environment.
• Perform general labor such as site clearing and earthwork support.
• Assist with surveying, dust control, cleanup, and site upkeep.
• Support steel pile installation and other structural tasks as needed.
• Work around electrical work related to solar installations.
