Mortenson Construction is seeking a Solar Mechanic to perform onsite maintenance and general upkeep of heavy equipment and tools. You will inspect and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document activities while coordinating with the site team.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and effective communication with diverse team members on a dynamic construction site.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Current driver’s license.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Strong teamwork, detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Active listening and effective communication.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair shop equipment; report deficiencies.
• Inspect equipment to ensure performance specs.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and determine damage.
• Follow operating instructions for equipment upkeep.
• Maintain supplies and call for repairs when needed.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance.
• Complete and file reports and paperwork.
• Work collaboratively with diverse colleagues.
