Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks a CAD Designer II (Energy) in San Jose to design solar PV/BESS projects (1–500+ MW).

You will apply standard engineering techniques under supervision, contributing to site layouts, electrical site plans, and diagrams while following QAQC processes. Requirements include a BS in Engineering (preferred), 3–5 years in electrical design, advanced AutoCAD, and strong organizational skills; PVsyst is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years with electrical design experience.
• Renewable energy project exposure desirable.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and drafting tasks for Designers or Engineers.
• Create construction drawings: layouts, site plans, diagrams.
• Independently manage site layouts from proposal to as-built.
• Coordinate with civil and structural consultants for data.
• Assemble drawings and deliverables; provide engineering support.
• Follow QAQC processes throughout design and construction.
• Attend site visits as needed and maintain CAD standards.
