Qualified Solar Electrician -- Illinois Qualified

A well-established general contracting company in Illinois, with over 52 years of experience, is seeking a Qualified Solar Electrician.

This position requires the candidate to hold a valid electrician's license and be certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) as a Distributed Generation (DG) installer. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with solar PV systems and adhere to the Electrical Code (NEC).

Requirements
  1. Licensing: To legally install solar panels, the Qualified Solar Electrician must possess a solar installer contractor license, obtained through DG certification at the state level.
  2. DG Certification: Certification issued by the Illinois Commerce Commission, essential for solar installers.
  3. Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance with NEC standards.
  4. Solar PV Expertise: Experience in solar PV system installation, including knowledge of solar technology, wiring, and safety protocols.
  5. Hands-on Training and Experience: Completion of hands-on training or apprenticeships under licensed electricians.
