Job summary

Advanced Roofing Inc in Sanford, FL is hiring for a Full Time Craft Worker to install and service solar energy components as part of our on-site team. You will prepare work areas, follow electrical codes, connect cables, and install solar modules and racking according to plan.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 100 lbs and climb ladders up to 60 ft.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience; Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training.
• 18+ years old; valid driver’s license; insurable driving record.
• Successful Pre‑Employment Drug and Agility tests; capable of climbing ladders up to 60 ft; able to lift 100 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and keep clean work area for installation of equipment.
• Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste and meet specs and local electrical codes.
• Install controls and distribution gear such as switches, panel boards, disconnects and inverters.
• Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support.
• Terminate wiring and equipment per code or job spec.
