Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing PV systems.
• Valid Oregon electrical license for the work.
• Strong knowledge of solar electrical components.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings.
• Experience wiring, conduit installation, and terminations.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and safety standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot solar electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Solar Electricians for projects located in or around Portland, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $60/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Install, connect, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
• Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components
• Read and interpret solar installation plans, electrical schematics, and manufacturer specifications
• Run electrical wiring, install conduit, and perform electrical terminations
• Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes
• Inspect, test, and commission solar PV systems to ensure proper operation
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair existing solar electrical systems
• Perform electrical connections between solar arrays, inverters, batteries, and distribution equipment
• Follow OSHA regulations and all jobsite safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work effectively with other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently

Requirements:

• Previous experience installing and servicing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
• Valid Oregon electrical license appropriate for the work being performed
• Strong knowledge of solar electrical systems, inverters, batteries, and associated components
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings
• Experience with electrical wiring, conduit installation, and terminations
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and applicable electrical safety standards
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose solar electrical systems
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights as required
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
