Job description

South Coast Solar is currently looking for Licensed Electricians to work in the field of solar electric system installation. Out of town candidates are welcome but must pursue and attain licensure within 90 days of employment.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Measure and layout equipment locations
  2. Safely work with AC voltages up to 480v
  3. Safely work with DC voltages up to 600v
  4. Fill out job paperwork documenting materials used and as built drawings
  5. Perform benchmarking calculations and reporting
  6. Install and commission internet based performance monitoring
  7. Perform trenching with machinery when necessary
  8. Travel out of town when necessary
  9. Work a minimum of 40 hours per week
Qualifications
  1. Previous Solar Experience Preferred
  2. Experience bending metallic conduit with hand benders up to 1”
  3. Experience running and terminating CAT5
  4. Experience fishing conductors into wall spaces
  5. Able to perform basic computer networking tasks for performance monitoring setup
  6. Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
  7. Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting, for extended periods of time
  8. Able to work in tight spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
  9. Able to work on rooftops and from ladders in a safe manner
  10. Able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  11. Able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  12. Attention to detail
  13. Possess and maintain a good driving record and valid driver’s license
  14. Documentation skills
  15. Professional appearance and client interaction
  16. Construction related experience
Preferred Assets (Not Required)
  1. OSHA 10 hour certification
  2. OSHA 30 hour certification
  3. NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge
  4. NABCEP installer certification
  5. Journeyman Electricians License
  6. Other solar training
  7. Manlift certified operator
