Job summary

Momentum Solar is seeking a motivated Solar Electrician to join our fast-growing team. Some residential electrical experience is required. You will install, test, repair, and commission PV systems on customer homes, read blueprints, and ensure NEC code compliance while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• Residential electrical experience is required.
• Ability to install, repair, replace PV-related electrical circuits.
• Read residential electrical blueprints and NEC codes.
• Must be able to work on roofs and in attics.
• Willing to work as part of a team; safety practices prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and tests electrical circuits and equipment.
• Troubleshoots wiring and components; residential wiring experience.
• Maintains equipment and promotes workplace safety.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Installs, repairs/ replaces, and tests associated electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Troubleshoots electrical wiring and components. Some experience with electrical wiring and residential wiring experience.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Residential electrical experience is required.
• Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test PV-related electrical circuits and associated equipment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to read residential electrical blueprints and understand and apply NEC codes as applicable.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to work on roofs and in attics.
• Ability to work well with others with a strong focus on teamwork.
• Training and certifications will be provided.
