Job summary

Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced Solar Electrical Technician to support industrial rooftop solar installations across the southeastern United States. You will install inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, bend conduit, pull wire, and commission control devices on commercial systems.

Travel is frequent, with most work weekdays on site. Applicants should have a SC journeyman license or reciprocal, strong electrical safety knowledge, and the ability to read drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical license in SC or reciprocal state.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC and Electrical Safety.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA10 or greater; NABCEP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment, cables and panels, bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various control components and devices for commercial rooftop solar installations.
• Tie in solar systems to utility interconnection.
• Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements and review BOM at loading dock.
• Act as primary site contact representing Colite Technologies to customers, authorities and host utilities.
• Direct daily activities of crew members and oversee quality of their work; lead/train crew as needed.

This position is responsible for installing electrical equipment such as inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, bending/installing conduit, pulling and terminating wire, and commissioning various control components and devices required to complete the installation of commercial rooftop solar systems. Our projects are located throughout the southeastern United States. Frequent travel is required, however, most work is performed during weekdays. Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions to commercial and industrial markets that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives.
