Job summary

Colite Technologies LLC designs and delivers environmentally friendly solar and energy systems for commercial markets, expanding rapidly in the southeast. The crew leader will guide a 3–4 person installation team to safely complete rooftop solar projects, manage materials, and coordinate with utilities and customers.

The role requires hands-on electrical skills, strong leadership, and the ability to work across diverse job sites with adherence to safety standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical license in SC and/or reciprocating state.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E, NEC and Electrical Safety.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• OSHA10 or greater.
• NABCEP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of 3–4 installers to complete rooftop solar installations and commissioning.
• Install equipment, cables, panels; run conduit and wiring; install control components and devices.
• Tie in solar system to utility interconnection.
• Ensure projects meet jurisdictional requirements.
• Review BOM and stock crew trucks for assigned projects.
• Act as primary site contact for customers, permitting authorities and host utilities.
• Recruit and coach crew members to maintain a competent team.
• Direct daily activities to ensure quality and on-schedule completion.

POSITION SUMMARY:Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions to commercial and industrial markets that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives. The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting.Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced crew leader to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is responsible for leading a team of three to four installers to safely install and commission rooftop commercial solar project orders to high quality standards within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Complete all aspects of solar installation including layout and assembly of solar panels, structural mounts and ballasts, electrical Balance of Systems, and final commissioning.• Install equipment, cables and panels, bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various control components and devices.• Tie in solar system to utility interconnection.• Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements.• Review project Bill of Material at loading dock to ensure that assigned crew truck is adequately stocked for assigned projects.• Act as primary point of contact at site representing Colite Technologies to our customers, permitting authorities and host utilities.• Recruit and coach crew members to ensure a competent team is in place to meet the demands of a growing business.• Maintain a culture of accountability by directing daily activities of crew members and overseeing quality of their work.• Drive a continuous improvement culture that optimizes quality, customer satisfaction and schedule completion.REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibiting professionalism, high energy level, significant commitment, “roll up your sleeves style,” and demonstrated interest in supporting the growth of new businesses.• Previous solar installation experience.• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.• Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC / 120V – 480V AC.• Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states.• Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills.• Demonstrated continuous process improvement mentality.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:• Journeyman electrical license in South Carolina and/or reciprocating state• Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E, NEC and Electrical Safety• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus• OSHA10 or greater• High School diploma or equivalent• NABCEP certification a plus
