Job summary

BlueWave is seeking a Spring Co-op in the Development Services team in the Boston area for January 2027 through June 2027. The role supports the analysis and acquisition of solar PV and energy storage development opportunities, researching environmental factors, interconnection capacity, and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Environmental or Sustainability Science, with strong organization, detail-orientation, and independent research skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental and Sustainability Science or related field.
• Preference for prior co-op or related work experience in engineering, design, construction, real estate, or energy development.
• Exposure to renewable energy systems is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver organized reports.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize solar design software and GIS tools to conduct search, analysis, and preliminary design of prospective sites
• Prepare and present reports of development opportunities based on environmental, electrical, and regulatory criteria
• Contribute to early-stage development of BlueWave's solar PV and energy storage pipelines in target markets across the US
• Track and complete tasks across the site acquisition process to ensure timely project delivery
