Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a Site Safety Manager to enforce the Company Safety program across solar construction sites in Ohio. You will administer site-specific safety training, enforce procedures, and lead incident investigations to protect employees and subcontractors.

The role requires hands-on inspection, data analysis of safety metrics, strong communication, and the ability to travel and respond to safety concerns promptly. OSHA certifications and a related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in safety or related field with 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 Trainer certification and OSHA 30 certification completed.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification and valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state safety codes and solar construction safety.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Administers, executes and improves the Safety and Health Program.
• Leads investigations into incidents, near misses and property damage.
• Performs safety data collection, reporting and trend analysis.
• Provide site safety training to all staff and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct routine site visits, audits and formal written observations.
• Communicate safety trends to project and safety managers.
• Maintain records, documents and follow up on corrective actions.
