Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Solar CDL Driver in Utah to safely transport equipment and materials for renewable energy sites. You will follow safety protocols, unload/load cargo, and coordinate with the crew to ensure timely deliveries on site.

The role requires a CDL A, up-to-date medical card, and tanker endorsement where applicable. You will operate heavy vehicles, perform routine checks, and maintain a strong safety focus on rough terrain and busy construction sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21+
• Minimum 1 year experience
• CDL A Certification
• Current medical card
• Tankers endorsement required for some sites
• Knowledge of vehicle operation and safety protocols
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces
• Ability to work in a team and meet attendance schedule

Responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver vehicles with GCWR 26,001 lb+, GVWR payload 10,001 lb+
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Transport materials locally to support solar projects
• Secure loads and use proper binders and load securing methods
• Coordinate with crew using hand/auditory signals
• Follow job-site safety protocols and traffic regulations
• Plan routes and backups for efficient deliveries
• Unloading and on-site coordination with minimal disturbance
• Maintain equipment and storage when not in use
• Respond to leadership instructions and site signals
