Job summary

Energo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Solar Canvassing Team Leader in New York as a 1099 Independent Contractor. You will lead by example in the field, train setters, and build your own team while driving door-to-door lead generation for solar energy solutions.

This role requires a proven solar sales background, the ability to train others, and strong communication skills. Energo offers a competitive compensation structure and opportunities for growth within a family-owned organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of door-to-door solar sales experience.
• Proven history of generating solar appointments.
• Leadership, training, or team-building experience preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States and read/write English.
• Ability to work 5–7 hours per day knocking on doors.

Responsibilities

• Knock on doors and set appointments for solar services.
• Develop and manage canvassing territories.
• Use multiple channels to identify customer potential.
• Door-to-door lead generation and appointment setting.
• Represent Energo professionally and lead additional setters.
• Operate a sales app to track activity and coverage.
• Learn how solar works and grow the New York market.
• Recruit, train, and lead appointment setters; earn commissions.
