Job Title: Field Electrician Solar/BMS

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mount devices and field interface panels
  • Install EMT and Rigid conduit
  • Determine cable and wire quantities for conduit pulls
  • Install and mount high voltage AC/DC power for inverters, disconnects, and solar panels; install high and low voltage wiring
  • Calculate conduit fill to ensure proper cable/wire pulls
  • Identify cables and wires with wire numbers; maintain as-built documentation
  • Pull cables and wiring
  • Collaborate with project team for timely completion
  • Create and maintain daily as-built records
  • Maintain daily reports for project management
  • Assist with commissioning and startup processes
  • Follow safety protocols and attend safety meetings
  • Travel out-of-state and overnight as required
  • Keep work areas clean and organized

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment
  • Ability to bend, tread, and install rigid conduit properly
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and drawings
  • Experience in project estimation for electrical labor, materials, and equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

Additional Information:

  • Out-of-state and overnight travel required
