Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking an experienced installer for a full-time role in Riverside, CA. The position involves mounting devices, installing conduit and high-voltage wiring, and wiring solar panels, with out-of-state travel as required.

The candidate will read plans, estimate electrical labor and materials, and maintain accurate as-built records while collaborating with project teams to ensure on-time project delivery. A Journeyman license and physical ability to lift 50 lbs are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Electrical Journeyman license required.
• Ability to bend, tread, and install rigid conduit.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, drawings.
• Experience in estimating electrical labor, materials, and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Travel out-of-state and overnight.

Responsibilities

• Install high voltage AC/DC power for inverters and disconnects.
• Install and configure solar panels and wiring.
• Calculate conduit fill and wire pulls.

• Collaborate with PMs, Supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion.
• Terminate wiring using design drawings.
• Assist commissioning technicians with startup.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Mounting of devices and field interface panels
• Install EMT and Rigid conduit.
• Determine the number of cables and wires to be run in conduit pulls or open cable pulls between devices and field interface panels.
• Install and mount high voltage AC/DC power for inverters. Install high-voltage disconnects. Install and configure solar panels. Install high voltage and low voltage wiring.
• Calculate cable/wire pulls in conduit to ensure conduit maximum fill.
• Identify all cables and wires with wire numbers and maintain documented as-builts of the numbering.
• Pull cables and wiring.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Terminate wiring using design drawings.
• Creation and daily maintenance of an as-built record of installation.
• Maintain Daily Reports to be forwarded to the Foreman/Project Manager
• Assist Commissioning Technicians with commissioning and startup.
• Follow all EMCOR and Customer's safety requirements and attend all Safety Meetings
• Out-of-state and overnight travel
• Daily cleanup of work areas or as needed based on occupied spaces.

Qualifications

• Proven in-depth knowledge of related building codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Proven ability to effectively read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, and drawings.
• Prior experience in project estimation of electrical labor, materials, and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $56.95 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results.

Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
