Job summary
Icon Power is now hiring a Solar Battery Technician to join a team responsible for installation, service, and troubleshooting for commercial and residential energy storage systems. The Technician will assist to ensure accurate and timely installations, and will update Branch Managers on project progress and safety practices.
This position requires travel and hands-on work with batteries, inverters, solar panels, panel boards and related electrical gear.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of solar experience strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license.
- Safe handling of power/hand tools and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Learn to conduct Site Surveys for Residential Battery Storage Systems.
- Learn to relocate circuits.
- Learn to install sub panels.
- Work with Branch Manager/Project Manager and homeowners on upgrades/repairs.
- Coordinate with local Inspectors to meet requirements.
- Maintain high-quality control on tools, vehicles, and materials.
- Install residential battery storage systems.
- Keep records of materials used and document work orders.
