Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Davis, CA. This role focuses on developing and improving mechanical systems for utility-scale solar installations. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support product development from concept through prototype validation.

A BS in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience are required. The position offers a competitive salary range between $100,000 to $110,000 per year, along with benefits and possible bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, mechatronics, automation, robotics, or related industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming, machining, casting, weldments, and/or injection molding.
• Working knowledge in motion components and actuation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, prototyping, and installation of mechanical systems.
• Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Perform design analyses and hands-on validation.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD including 3D modeling and 2D drafting (SolidWorks preferred)

Strong communication skills
