Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Soils Laboratory Technician to join our team. No prior experience is required, as you’ll learn under experienced professionals to safely perform a variety of soil and concrete laboratory tests.

We provide paid training and will cover certification fees as you advance. You’ll gain hands-on experience with tests such as Atterberg limits, gradation, moisture content, proctor methods, and strength testing,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word/Excel) and data recording accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic laboratory tests on soil and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compiles test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative duties.
• Maintains calibration records and QA/QC documentation.
• Supports equipment calibration and maintenance; may perform occasional fieldwork.
