Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in San Ramon is seeking a Soils Inspector to join its Bay Area team. This role involves confirming geotechnical recommendations, performing density tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess ICC certification, ACI certification, and at least two years of relevant experience. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential. A valid driver's license is required along with the capability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position offers a competitive hourly rate between $53 and $53.69.

Qualifications

• ICC Soils Special Inspector certification.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification.
• Certified in CPN Radiation Safety and use of Nuclear Soil Gauge.
• 2 years of soils and concrete testing experience.
• OSHA 10 Hour Course completed with certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Confirm geotechnical engineer recommendations.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to grading ordinances and building codes.
• Communicate daily with project manager.
• Write daily field reports.
