Job summary

Qorvo's SOI Design Engineering Internship program offers hands-on experience in High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity and Sensors groups. You will work on LNA and RF switches, generate EM models, and compare simulations with lab data while collaborating with a team of engineers.

Interns receive mentoring, learn through lunch & learns, and present a final project to business leaders. Pursuing MS/PhD in EE with a strong GPA is preferred, with opportunity for full-time roles

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience.
• Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred.
• Software exposure: Cadence, ADS or AWR, FEM or HFSS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-Starter with good communication skills.
• Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information.
• Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design of multiple functional blocks including LNA and RF switches.
• Generating and simulating EM models in HFSS for silicon design integration and validation.
• Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule.
• Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data.
• Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data.
