Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. is seeking a Software V&V Engineer (Embedded) to thoroughly analyze requirements and develop robust test cases for embedded systems. You will build instrumentation, perform coverage analysis, and use RTRT tools for SCA activities.

The role focuses on designing detailed test plans, executing tests on target hardware, and maintaining traceability across requirements, design, tests, and results to meet certification standards. Collaboration with System and Software teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience with software verification and validation in embedded environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with DO-178B/C certification standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements to develop comprehensive test cases covering functional and non-functional aspects.
• Build instrumentation, SCA build creation, and coverage analysis.
• Perform hands-on RTRT tool usage for SCA activities.
• Design and document detailed verification test cases with inputs, outputs, and coverage analysis.
• Execute test cases on target hardware/software and document results.
• Identify, report, and track defects with development teams for resolution.
• Perform code coverage analysis to ensure thorough testing and certification compliance.
• Prepare detailed verification reports including deviations and justifications for acceptance.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design, test cases, and results to demonstrate compliance.
• Coordinate with System and Software Development teams.

Software V&V Engineer (Embedded):

• Thoroughly analyze software requirements to develop comprehensive test cases that cover all functional and non-functional aspects of the system.
• Build instrumentation, SCA Build creation, and coverage analysis.
• Hands-on experience in RTRT tool usage for SCA activities.
• Design and document detailed software verification test cases, including input parameters, expected outputs, and coverage analysis to ensure thorough testing.
• Execute test cases on the target hardware and software platforms, meticulously documenting test results and identifying any deviations from expected behavior.
• Identify, report, and track software defects discovered during testing, working closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Perform code coverage analysis to ensure adequate testing of all software components and paths, meeting DO-178B/C standards.
• Prepare detailed software verification reports that document test results, including pass/fail criteria, deviations, and justifications for acceptance.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design documents, test cases, and test results to demonstrate compliance with certification standards.
• Coordinate and collaborate with System and Software Development teams.
