Lightship Energy, Inc. in South San Francisco, CA seeks a Software Engineer specializing in Android UI/UX and vehicle-control interfaces. You will craft engaging experiences for mobile controls and telemetry, bridging frontend UI with backend services.

Collaborating with backend, design, and test teams, you’ll integrate APIs, deploy cloud solutions, and contribute to the full software lifecycle from requirements through deployment. Hybrid work is supported.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency developing with Kotlin for Android.
• Proficiency with Figma for UX design and mockups.
• Experience with Flutter for cross-platform development.
• Experience with UI design and reactive UI patterns.
• Experience with ProtoBufs, MQTT, WebSockets, and restricted-bandwidth data protocols.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and Linux system services.
• Experience with SQLite databases.
• Experience using Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Android UI/UX and Systems Interfacing. In this role, you will be the primary architect of the user experience as it relates to vehicle controls and transforming telemetry data from the Lightship RV into an intuitive mobile interface. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of our cloud infrastructure.
