Popkey Private Limited invites applications for a Software Testing Intern to join our IoT-driven testing team in Chennai. This 3-month internship offers hands-on experience across front-end, back-end and Android testing, with exposure to API validation and bug reporting.

The role supports learning real-time tech projects, testing web apps, APIs and mobile interfaces, and prepares you for potential full-time opportunities based on performance. Stipend ₹7,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing CS/IT or a related degree.
• Fresh graduates in IT/CS are welcome.
• Familiarity with testing concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end testing of web interfaces for functionality and usability.
• Conduct back-end testing including API validation and data flow checks.
• Test Android mobile apps for login, booking and locker workflows.
• Identify, document and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce.
• Prepare and execute test cases; perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers to verify issue resolutions.

Role Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented and passionate Software Testing Interns to join our technology team.

The selected candidates will gain hands‑on experience in testing web applications, backend systems and Android mobile applications, ensuring the functionality, performance, usability and reliability of our products.

Roles & Responsibilities1. Front-End Testing

• Test web application interfaces for functionality and usability.
• Verify buttons, forms, menus, dashboards and user workflows.
• Identify UI issues, layout inconsistencies and navigation errors.
• Perform cross-browser and responsive testing.
• Back-End Testing
• Test backend functionalities and business logic.
• Verify API responses, data flow and database operations.
• Validate user authentication, access permissions and system workflows.
• Identify and document backend errors and inconsistencies.
• Mobile Application Testing
• Test Android mobile applications for functionality and usability.
• Verify login, registration, booking and locker access workflows.
• Test compatibility across different devices and screen sizes.
• Identify bugs, application crashes, performance issues and navigation errors.
• Bug Reporting & Documentation
• Identify, record and report software bugs.
• Prepare test cases and test execution reports.
• Perform regression testing after bug fixes.
• Coordinate with developers to verify issue resolution.

Eligibility & Skills

• Students or freshers from Computer Science, IT, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. Computer Science or related backgrounds.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs or SQL will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Postman, browser developer tools or testing tools is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work on real-time technology projects.
