Five Stones Research Corporation is seeking an experienced Software Testing and Automation Testing Analyst to join our Huntsville-headquartered team with hybrid work options at Fort Huachuca. The role emphasizes validating requirements with SCRUM teams and expanding automation testing coverage.

The candidate should have DoD clearance eligibility, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of agile/scrum practices to deliver high-quality software within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with required years of experience or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Ability to obtain and maintain an interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date
• Agile/SCRUM principles and sprint-based development experience
• Detail-oriented, independent, proactive team player
• Willingness to work in a DoD environment and obtain clearance

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SCRUM teams, developers, and program management to validate functional requirements and advance automation testing
• Follow test and evaluation processes: identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, report findings
• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance, conduct audits and reviews of data and documentation
• Identify, document, and track software defects and perform root-cause analysis with development teams
• Work with team members to align on quality goals and project deliverables
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to increase coverage and reduce manual testing
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Position Overview Type: Full-Time

Clearance: Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Summary/Objective

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

• Works closely with SCRUM teams, developers, and program management to validate functional requirements while also contributing to the advancement of our automation testing capabilities. Analyze and validate user stories, technical specifications, and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Follows and applies common T&E processes that include identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings.
• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing phases.
• Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, at times collaborating with development teams to recreate or perform root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with teammates, SCRUM teams, software developers, and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.

Required Education and Experience

• One of the following combinations of education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience
  • Associate’s degree with at least 6 years of experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience

One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

  • SCRUM
  • Leading SAFe
  • T&E, automation
  • AI in T&E
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, and a proactive team player
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles
• Ability to obtain and maintain an interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date
