Job description

Software testing and quality assurance are essential for ensuring that software meets specified requirements and functions correctly. This role involves developing and performing both manual and automated testing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing tools like Azure to track and manage testing activities. The role works with the larger team to identify defects and areas for improvement, performs software testing and quality assurance to deliver a robust and reliable final product. This position supports the Department of Treasury - Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test plans, cases, and procedures, including defining scenarios, developing detailed scripts, and mapping acceptance criteria.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
3. Perform testing to identify defects, validate acceptance criteria, and suggest improvements.
4. Utilize Azure to track testing activities, defects, and test case execution.
5. Report and document defects, working closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
6. Provide clear status reports on testing progress and results.
7. Contribute to the development of tools for the platform Test Framework based on program needs.
8. Work with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to assess impacts of new functionality and trace work in upcoming sprints.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Experience with Azure.
