Position Overview

Full-time, hybrid position. Training period is on-site, followed by a requirement to work on-site 3 days per week. Only local candidates will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

The Software Tester 1 supports the PA Game Commission in testing the specifications and requirements of the Pennsylvania Automated License Service (PALS) Systems contract.

The role involves developing user acceptance test scripts, which may include web/internet POS, harvest reporting, IVR systems, and full regression testing within an Agile environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Developing, updating, maintaining, and executing test plans, standards, procedures, test scripts, and use case scenarios for user acceptance.
2. Assisting in planning, creating, and controlling test environments.
3. Identifying and resolving testing process questions.
4. Recording, verifying, logging, and documenting testing results.
5. Tracking issues, risks, and actions using Microsoft tracking tools.
6. Defining success, entry, and exit criteria for testing.
7. Meeting departmental and project deadlines.
8. Drafting and presenting reports on testing results, including issues, risks, impacts, and contingency plans, for approval by team leads or managers.
9. Participating in meetings with stakeholders to communicate status and resolve issues.
10. Additional duties such as maintaining requirement traceability, analyzing requirements, data mapping, and confirming data transfers related to functional specifications.
