Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Tester for the Homeland Sector to help verify complex mission-critical software used by DHS. You will develop test plans, execute tests, monitor CI/CD pipelines, and report results to stakeholders. Collaboration across teams and adherence to QA processes are essential.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in CS or related field, up to 2 years of testing experience, strong analytical skills, and ability to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance. U.S.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues, regressions, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.
  • Test Execution and Reporting: Execute manual tests, create/execute automated tests, record test results, and generate test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
  • Defect Management: Identify, report, and prioritize software defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.
  • Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document and configuration manage test cases, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and presentations.

The Homeland Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Tester. The program delivers a comprehensive integrated mission control software tool combining custom code and integrated COTS products for a Department of Homeland Security customer.

Primary Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
