Job summary

Astrion in Georgia is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support TGAD on the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order for the 45 TS / TGAD. The role requires a SECRET clearance and a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. You will lead test activities, perform manual testing, and coordinate with teams to ensure thorough testing of BES/MROi solutions.

The position is full-time and on-site at Robins AFB, GA, with occasional travel (<10%). Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
• Must be able to acquire a SECRET security clearance. U.S. Citizenship.
• Manual testing experience.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and to lead and direct the work of others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including communication skills in areas of technical writing, briefings, and formal presentations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes, and reports on the developmental test and evaluation for BES web-based MROi solution.
• Provides individual technical effort in responding to questions/issues of critical importance to the customer.
• Provides expertise in Maintenance and Logistics test support.
• Supports the development of TEMP, test team charters and Test Plans and Reports.
• Assists in ensuring system requirements are testable and advises on performance measures, criteria, and constraints.
• Employs test automation tools and utilities supporting test execution.
• Develops and employs tests utilizing performance-testing tools.
• Documents deficiencies and anomalies, evaluates and reports, and participates in review boards.
• Prepares, executes, reviews, and analyzes test objectives, plans, procedures and metrics; writes test methods and cases.
• Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays to meet mission requirements.
• Travels to TDY locations (<10%) to execute test procedures and perform data management and hardware setup.
• Provisioning of user accounts, including account creation and modification in the NIPR environment for testing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• A current and active SECRET security clearance is highly desired.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile, DEV/SEC/OPS, and Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies
• HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or similar test management system is highly desired
• Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence is highly desired.
• Automated test tools experience
• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity test and evaluation is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans, executes, and reports on the developmental test and evaluation for Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) web-based Maintenance Repair and Overhaul initiative (MROi) solution.
• Provides individual technical effort in responding to questions/issues of critical importance to the customer.
• Provides expertise in Maintenance and Logistics test support.
• Supports the development of strategic test documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test team charters and Test Plans and Reports as applicable.
• Assists in ensuring system requirements are testable and advises on performance measures, test entry/exit criteria, test design limitations and constraints, and test progress.
• Employs test automation tools and utilities supporting test execution.
• Develops and employs tests utilizing performance-testing tools.
• Identifies and documents deficiencies and anomalies of systems under test, evaluates and reports deficiencies, provides recommendations, and participates in deficiency review boards.
• Prepares, executes, reviews, and analyzes test objectives, plans, procedures and metrics; prepares reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develops and writes methods of tests, test cases, test cards, and any other test process documents required to plan, execute and report on testing.
• Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays when required to meet mission requirements.
• Travels to TDY locations (<10%) to execute test procedures; perform data management, reduction, and analysis; perform configuration management, hardware setup, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Provisioning of user accounts, including account creation and modification in the NIPR environment for testing.
