Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Software Test Engineer Co-op to join our Software Engineering (RLM) team in Danvers, MA, starting January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience testing medical device software using Pytest and in-house tools for end-to-end validation.

You will develop automated test scripts, assist with test planning, document defects, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Experience developing automated tests for medical device software.
• Familiarity with Pytest and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to collaborate with developers and QA.
• Knowledge of industry standards for testing.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Pytest and others for end-to-end testing of medical device software
• Test Planning: Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Bug Identification: Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Engage in Code Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure code quality and to align with industry standards.
• Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application functionality, performance, and security.
• Test Reporting: Generate and review test reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on test results.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies and stay up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques.

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Co-op student for our Software Test Engineer role at Abiomed, starting in January 2027.
