Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co-op in the United States (Colorado locations Fort Collins or Longmont; hybrid or onsite). You will participate across all phases of the Software Test lifecycle, collaborating with project engineers to drive defects to closure and build test plans for new features and operating systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with automated and manual testing, triaging issues, and identifying metrics to improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a US-based university for a Masters in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Interest in software QA, test lifecycle, and debugging across Linux/Windows.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multiple phases of the Software Test lifecycle with development teams to drive defects to closures.
• Develop and execute both automated and manual Test Plans/Test Cases using various strategies (Functional, Negative, Regression, Performance, Usability).
• Assist with reproduction, troubleshooting, triaging defects, and reporting progress to closures.
• Create Test Case/Plan for new features and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Collaborate to improve testing processes and define metrics for QA activities.
