Job summary

Trabus Technologies is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and automate tests across Python/FastAPI back-end services and React/TypeScript front-end applications supporting diverse projects, including defense and data analytics platforms.

The role can be Level I (0–2 years) or Level II (2+ years) based on qualifications. You will build UI tests with Playwright, backend tests with pytest, and contribute to Agile sprint activities while ensuring

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing and SDLC.
• Proficiency with version control (Git).
• Clear, reproducible defect reporting and strong attention to detail.
• Active DoD-adjudicated Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end and UI tests for React/TypeScript web apps using Playwright.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, API, and integration tests for Python/FastAPI back-end services using pytest.
• Create test plans, test cases, and procedures traceable to requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing; triage defects with development.
• Maintain automated test suites in CI to catch regressions early.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure user stories have clear testable criteria.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities; document results.
