Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with multiple testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, TDD).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Preferred: Advanced certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule testing in the test environment per schedule.
• Develop test plans to ensure coverage and verify test results.
• Create complex manual test cases with step-by-step procedures.
• Provide timely feedback to customers and collaborate with development teams.
• Participate in customer and developer meetings to support testing.
• Research and recommend new tools for the OCTO Engineering Division.
• Perform testing including non-functional tests (performance, stress, API).
• Follow DHS and FEMA SDLC and SE life cycle guidelines.
• Create and maintain a library of test scripts for manual and automated tests.
• Monitor user acceptance testing and review results.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule testing in the associated test environment based on the identified and approved schedule
• Develop test plans to ensure that the testing approach sufficiently addresses software features and to verify that the test process achieves an appropriate level of test coverage, that test results are verified, that the correct code configuration has been tested, and that the tests are appropriately documented
• Develop intricate manual test cases to include step-by-step procedures for testing objectives
• Provide timely, accurate feedback to the customer. Foster an open, communicative partnership with the development team, eliminating any adversarial relationships, jointly focusing on the customers' needs, and recommending improvements as identified
• Participate in customer and developer meetings in support of testing of software applications
• Research and recommend new tools for implementation within the OCTO Engineering Division as new requirements are identified to replace or complement current processes/toolsets
• Perform testing, including non-functional testing (performance, stress, load, application program interface (API) testing
• Follow DHS and FEMA Software Development Lifecycle and System Engineering Lifecycle guidelines as recommended by the project
• Conduct functional testing based on the approved testing methodology and schedule utilizing or developing test scripts and/or test cases
• Conduct testing based on the approved schedule, creating performance test models, and utilizing/developing performance test scripts
• Create and maintain a library of test scripts for manual and automation tests for application testing
• Monitor user acceptance testing and review testing results as an acceptable level of verification

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
• Five (5) or more years of experience with one or more methodologies testing systems developed using Agile, Agile-Hybrid, DevSecOps, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Rapid Application Development, and Test-Driven Development methodologies
• Preferred: Relevant advanced certification
