Job summary

Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced project manager to serve as the primary State contact for day-to-day IT project operations. The role oversees resources, governance, planning, budgeting, and risk management, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while applying State SDLC standards.

You will manage day-to-day activities, lead stakeholder discussions, and drive continuous improvement, including change management across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing complex IT development projects.
  • Minimum of three (3) successful projects with an organizational change management component.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience using PMBoK methodologies and artifacts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall project governance, communications with executives, planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, control, quality assurance, and course corrections.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities.
  • Identify issues and risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate State agency and Contractor discussions/meetings.
  • Ensure performance is within scope, requirements, budget and schedule.
  • Identify critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure application of State SDLC standards.
  • Provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining performance.
  • Monitor issues and provide resolutions for status reports.
  • Document and deliver PM-related artifacts.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing complex IT development projects, similar to that described in the Statement of Work.
  • Minimum of three (3) successful projects with an organizational change management component that involves working with stakeholder groups across the organization.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience using PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) methodologies and artifacts.
