Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Software Test Engineer to develop, maintain, and execute automated test capabilities for the Missile Defense Agency's GMD Weapon System program.

You will design test plans and procedures, perform system‑level integration testing, and translate requirements into verifiable test criteria while working with C++ and Python tooling in a DoD environment. Active Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university.
• 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures for system-level testing.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance for system-level testing.
• Experience developing testing criteria to satisfy requirements.
• Experience in C++ development and Python scripting.
• Experience using Eggplant or other GUI toolsets.
• Experience with GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Position Description

The Automated Software Test Engineer will support the Missile Defense Agency's GMD Weapon System program by developing, maintaining, and executing automated test capabilities used to verify mission-critical software functionality.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university

Experience Requirements
