Groupe Kardol is seeking a Software Test Engineer for the FAA NCR program based at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The role is full-time, onsite, with W-2 or 1099 employment options.

Preferred candidates have a bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of technical testing experience, and strong Linux/Unix knowledge. The job offers a salary range of $65,000–$75,000 per year (W-2) or equivalent 1099 rates, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities

Qualifications

Experience in independently planning, designing, developing, and dry running test cases.
Experience in conducting formal testing and developing reports, artifacts, and documenting issues from tests.
Able to prepare the lab for testing and coordinate with PM/CM for lab audits and findings resolution.
Participate in team meetings and discussions in person or virtually.
Troubleshooting: identify data/Test issues, determine data presence, locate data source.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments to support applications.
Detail oriented documentation of system tests, test cases, and record keeping.
Strong written and verbal communication, including status reporting.
Motivated to learn and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER

Program: NAS Common Reference (NCR)
Location: Onsite, William J. Hughes Technical Center, Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Position Status: Full-Time, W-2 or 1099
W-2 Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
1099 Rate Range: $53 - $58 per hour (LOE is 1,880 – Annualized Pay is $99,640 - $109,040)
Clearance: Public Trust
Eligibility: Eligible to work in U.S., must have maintained residence in U.S. for the past 3 years

OVERVIEW The Security Application Developer will support the Federal Aviation Administration’s Second Level Engineering (SLE) Division on the NAS Common Reference (NCR) Program. NCR is an FAA System Wide Information Management (SWIM) service that integrates, stores, and correlates real-time National Airspace System (NAS) data. It consolidates aeronautical data, weather, and Traffic Management Initiatives (TMIs) into a single correlated format.

NCR acts as a centralized clearinghouse, allowing air traffic controllers, airlines, and aviation stakeholders to access data for decision-making without having to query multiple disparate systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

Experience in independently planning, designing, developing, and dry running test cases.
Experience in conducting formal testing and developing applicable reports as well as collecting necessary artifacts and documenting issues identified during the test process.
Able to prepare the lab for testing and work with the team as well as PM/CM to perform lab audit and resolve findings of CM audits.
Participate and contribute to team meetings and discussions in person or virtually.
Troubleshooting: Identify when problems occur within the testing. Research data problems, determine if data is missing as well as identify the source of the lost data.
Working knowledge of and ability to support applications in Linux/Unix environments.
Detail oriented documentation (system test documentation, test cases and good record keeping).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including providing status reports.
Motivated to learn and willing to work with minimal supervision.
