Job summary

Lockheed Martin has partnered with USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years, delivering modern planning and command-and-control capabilities in a DevSecOps, Agile Scrum context.

This full-time tester role focuses on validating deployments, writing test scripts, and coordinating with developers and stakeholders. You will serve as a quality gate and help ensure software meets its intent, with US citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Software testing experience.
• Familiarity with writing test procedures and conducting scenario-based tests.
• Experience running automated software testing suites.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
• USSTRATCOM mission insight (Intel, Planning, or C2)
• Ability to script or code automated tests
• Insight into systems engineering / agile methods for documenting scope
• Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems

THE WORK

Lockheed Martin has been embedded with the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years and has a track record of bringing innovative mission software solutions to this domain. Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking engineers to support our USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment. In this role, you will help our team create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community. The successful candidate will have experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum.

Who You Are

Our team needs a full‑time tester. In this role, you will:

• Validate software deployments, author test scripts / test descriptions, and coordinate with developers on defects
• Act as a quality gate to ensure delivered software meets its intent
• Collaborate with architecture, cyber, integration, and product owner stakeholders.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.

Pay Information

Full‑Time Salary Range: $63400.00 - $117800.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non‑represented full‑time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
