Job summary

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP is seeking a full-time USPTO-registered Patent Agent experienced in preparing and prosecuting software-related applications. The role requires at least 3 years in patent prosecution, a USPTO registration, and a STEM degree (CS/CE/EE/Math/Physics) or related field.

Preference for candidates with software techportfolio and client counseling skills. Office locations include Seattle, WA, among others.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution preferred.
• USPTO registration number required.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Experience with software tech domains (cloud, security encryption, AI, bioinformatics, mobile apps, databases, networking) preferred.
• Transcripts and patent prosecution writing samples will be requested.
• Patent Agent based in one of listed Kilpatrick offices including Seattle, WA.
