Responsibilities

• Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs.
• Provides overall operating system maintenance, including sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
• Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Evaluates new and existing software products.

Work Environment

• Location: Remote with periodic support at Fort Belvoir or other places in the National Capitol Region.
• Type of environment: Remote
• Noise level: Low
• Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
• Amount of Travel: less than 10%
